A MAN who stole items from JD Sports and Asda in Hereford has been handed a drug rehabilitation order.
Carl Gwynne admitted stealing clothing and alcohol to the value of £116.50 from the shops on February 19 and February 22.
The 44-year-old also admitted attempting to steal champagne from the Co-Op on April 3.
Gwynne, of Red Norman Rise in Hereford, received a 12-month drug rehabilitation order with Turning Point in Hereford, and must provide samples for six months. He will be under the direction of a suitably qualified member of the team, based at the offices in Hereford.

He must also attend up to 25 days of rehabilitation activities with the probation service.
He was also ordered by Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on April 18 to pay £85 in court costs and a £100 fine.
His guilty plea was taken into account by magistrates when they decided on the sentence.
